On behalf of His Excellency Sheikh Dr. MohammedAIissa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL), Mr. Abdulwahab bin Mohammed Al-Shehri, Assistant to the Secretary-General for Corporate Communication, presented the Muslim World League's statement during the UNAOC Group of Friends’ session at the 10th United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Global Forum in Portugal. The forum was themed "United in Peace: Restoring Trust, Reshaping the Future — Reflecting on Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity." Mr. Al-Shehri addressed several topics, focusing on the contents of the #CharterOfMakkah, which articulates Islamic principles on behalf of the Islamic world. These principles are intended to lay the groundwork for cooperation and integration among civilizations for the benefit of humanity. He also highlighted international and United Nations initiatives spearheaded by the Muslim World League that address these significant challenges with the aim of achieving global peace and prosperity. This includes emphasizing the practical outcomes of the "Building Bridges between East and West" initiative, launched by the MWL at the United Nations headquarters, and its effective implementations across various regions.
