The Muslim World League Expresses Approval of the United Nations General Assembly Resolution Calling for the End of the Israeli Occupation of Palestine

The Muslim World League expresses its approval of the resolution, which was recently adopted by the United Nations General Assembly and calls for an end to the Israeli occupation of the State of Palestine, garnering support from a majority of 124 votes.

In a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the MWL, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, acknowledged the significance of the resolution. He highlighted that the outcome demonstrates global recognition of the Palestinian people's inherent right to self-determination and the establishment of their own state. His Excellency commended the principled and commendable stance of the nations that supported the resolution. Further, Dr. Al-Issa called upon the international community to advocate for the Palestinian people by pressing for the activation and implementation of these resolutions on the ground, rather than allowing them to remain theoretical discussions within the international system.
