In tribute to the sponsorship of 6,000 orphans by the Muslim World League, the organization inaugurated its orphan programs in the Republic of Malawi. The launch event was graced by the presence of His Excellency President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera and His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Alissa, who serves as both the Secretary-General of the MWL and the Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars. Subsequently, Dr. Al-Issa personally allocated resources to the orphans.
During the celebration honoring the orphans in Malawi, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Alissa remarked, "Malawi stands as a global exemplar of national harmony. We remain dedicated to fulfilling our responsibilities in strengthening fraternal and humanitarian bonds through charitable efforts, guided by a strategic vision aimed at ensuring care, development, and sustainability."
At the same event, President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera expressed his sentiments: "We highly value the initiatives and projects undertaken by the MWL. In Malawi, we take pride in our enduring friendship and robust partnership with one of the most pivotal international organizations, renowned for its unwavering commitment to provide support to our nation without discrimination."
