Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice, which affirms the illegality of the Israeli presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territories for the past 57 years.
In a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the MWL, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, emphasized the importance of this decision as a constructive step toward the human and legal rights of the Palestinian people. He underscored the decision's role in advancing a just and comprehensive solution to their cause, securing their legitimate rights to self-determination, and establishing their independent state in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions.
