The International Conference on the Biography of the Prophet, held in Mauritania for the year 1445 AH, was attended by a large assembly of distinguished scholars, muftis, and intellectuals from 55 Islamic countries. At the conclusion of its proceedings, the Muslim World League proposed the "Nouakchott Declaration," which received a positive reception from the conference attendees.
