At his office in Riyadh, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, meets with His Excellency Mr. Christophe Farnaud, Ambassador of the European Union to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, they discussed the outcomes of the Muslim World League’s initiative held at the United Nations in NYC: Building bridges between the East and the West, attended by the leadership of the UN, along with several senior religious and intellectual leaders from around the world, and politicians. They also discussed the outcomes of the conference of the League of Islamic Universities on: Freedoms Within the Framework of Islamic Values and Principles of International Law, which was held in the wake of the crime of burning copies of the Holy Quran in some Scandinavian countries. The conference was attended by several religious, intellectual, political and media figures from the Islamic world and from other faiths, including Western dignitaries.
