The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted Diori Hamani International Airport in Niamey, the capital of the Republic of Niger.
In a statement issued by the MWL’s General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, expressed the MWL’s full solidarity with the Republic of Niger during this tragic incident, and in its efforts to confront all threats to its security, stability, and the safety of its people. His Excellency reaffirmed the MWL’s principled and unwavering rejection of violence and terrorism in all their forms and under any pretext.
His Excellency also conveyed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of Niger, praying that Allah Almighty bestow mercy upon the deceased and a swift recovery to the injured.
