Statement from the Muslim World League:
Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) condemned, in the strongest terms, the crime of storming Al-Aqsa Mosque by several officials from the Israeli occupation government, including members of the Knesset, and extremist settlers.
In a statement issued by the General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, vehemently denounced these irrational actions that desecrate religious sanctities. These actions constitute a grave breach of international and humanitarian laws and norms, incite the sentiments of Muslims worldwide, and impede peace initiatives and the prospects for a sustainable and equitable resolution through the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
