His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, met with His Excellency Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum, Director-General of the Inter-Services Intelligence of Pakistan.
During their meeting, they discussed various issues, including promoting values of religious and intellectual moderation within the framework of Islamic cooperation. They also explored ways to confront and eradicate extremism and violence at their roots.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum lauded the pivotal role of the #MuslimWorldLeague in this important matter. He emphasized the immense expectations resting upon the MWL, considering it the overarching umbrella for scholars of the Islamic Ummah. He pointed out its introduction of the #MakkahCharter to the world, deeming it the most significant contemporary Islamic document. This achievement came under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, “may Allah protect him.” He further noted that the establishment and care of the MWL are among the many blessings Saudi Arabia has bestowed upon the Islamic World.
The outstanding contributions of Saudi Arabia, under the guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Trustworthy Crown Prince, “may Allah protect them,” towards serving Islam, Muslims, and humanity were highly commended. The significant Islamic presence of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was also recognized and appreciated.
