Today at the MWL headquarters in Makkah, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, met with His Excellency Dr. Mishaan Al-Khazraji, the Head of the Sunni Endowment Office in Iraq, and the accompanying delegation. During the meeting, several issues were discussed, including the Dr. Al-Khazraji’s welcoming of the contents of the Charter of Makkah to be among the most important tools used in the religious training within the endowment system. The Charter was ratified by scholars from all Islamic sects and became a shared commonality of the Islamic nation. The Sunni Endowment Office is an official body affiliated with the Iraqi Prime Minister, stipulated in the constitution, and works (within its principles) to strengthen national cohesion in light of the brotherhood and tolerance among all the brotherly Iraqi components.
