Pakistan President awards Secretary General of MWL “Crescent of Excellence” the highest in the country in appreciation of his efforts in spreading the message of peace in the name of Islam and combating “Islamophobia”:

President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, awarded His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the “Crescent of Excellence”, one of the highest civil honors in the country, in appreciation of His outstanding efforts in spreading the message of peace called for by Islam, and in combating the growing phenomenon of Islamophobia. Dr. Al-Issa played a key role in correcting misconceptions about our true Islamic religion along with promoting dialogue and harmony among followers of civilizations and religions through launching international initiatives and personal visits to various countries of the world coupled with his meetings with various international religious leaders.
The “Crescent of Excellence” ceremony took place in an official celebration hosted by the Pakistani President for His Excellency Dr. Al-Issa, Monday, at the presidential palace in Islamabad, in the presence of a group of Islamic senior figures, government leaders, members of Parliament and diplomatic corps.
Pakistan’s "Crescent of Excellence” is one of the most important civil honors in the country and is awarded by the Pakistani President in honor of senior figures who have made outstanding Islamic and humanitarian contributions.
