U.S. Special Envoy for Afghan Women, Girls and Human Rights Visits MWL, Praises MWL Efforts

The U.S. Special Envoy for Afghan Women, Girls, and #HumanRights, Rina Amiri, visited the Muslim World League office in Riyadh where she met with MWL leaders headed by H.E. Deputy Secretary General Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Zaid.

Amiri emphasized the crucial role religion plays in Afghanistan and the pivotal role played by the MWL in leading religious efforts towards stability and development. Amiri also noted the MWL’s work in empower women and creating pathways for female participation in society.

The meeting was attended by officials form the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
