The Muslim World League Condemns the Israeli Knesset's Adoption of Draft Laws Banning the Activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA)
Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli Knesset's adoption of draft laws that ban the activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the occupied Palestinian territories. This action represents a continuation of the systemic violations perpetrated by the Israeli occupation government authorities, which politically and militarily target United Nations agencies and their affiliated relief organizations, including those that support the rights of the Palestinian people.
In a statement from the General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, expressed unwavering support and solidarity with UNRWA in its humanitarian mission to aid Palestinian refugees. His Excellency underscored the grave consequences of these persistent Israeli violations, which contravene all international and humanitarian laws and norms. He warned that these actions jeopardize ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering in Palestinian territories and hinder the prospects for achieving a comprehensive and just peace.
