Makkah:

The Muslim World League (MWL) highly commends Saudi Arabia’s announcement regarding the provision of monthly financial support to assist our Palestinian brothers and sisters, aiming to ameliorate the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and its surrounding areas.

In a statement from the MWL's General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, lauded this historic initiative as reflective of the central position of the Palestinian issue within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He noted that it also underscores the steadfast historical solidarity with the Palestinian people. He expressed hope that this support would, with God’s help, mitigate the severe impacts stemming from the egregious violations of the Israeli occupation government.

His Excellency, on behalf of the MWL, its international bodies and councils, and the scholars of the Ummah united under a single banner, extended profound appreciation and gratitude for the Kingdom’s remarkable efforts to address the ongoing crisis in the Gaza Strip, tackle the critical humanitarian challenges, and consolidate the Arab and Islamic positions on this crisis. This was achieved by leading the ministerial committee designated by the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic summit, which aimed to support our Palestinian brethren, counter the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and endeavor to lift the blockade on Gaza. These efforts led to several allied nations recognizing the State of Palestine, committing to seek a just and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue, and ensuring that the Palestinian people secure all their legitimate rights and establish an independent state.

His Excellency concluded the statement by praying that God Almighty bless the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia—may God protect them—grant the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia enduring security and prosperity, and support its continued dedication to the issues of the Ummah.
