The Prime Minister of Malaysia and the Muslim World League organize an international conference of religious leaders

In cooperation between the Malaysian Prime Minister and the Muslim World League, the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, will host the largest international conference for religious leaders hosted by the Asian continent, on Tuesday, 28 Shawwal 1445 AH, corresponding to May 7, 2024. The conference titled Promoting Interfaith Harmony among Followers of Religions, is under the sponsorship and participation of His Excellency Dato Sri Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia , and His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, along with about 2,000 religious and intellectual figures from 57 countries.
The conference will discuss several themes related to pluralism, tolerance, moderation, education, building bridges, and inclusive commonalities. It aims to emphasize the importance of religion in promoting world peace, consolidating solidarity among peoples, and exploring ways of civilizational cooperation, in addition to launching initiatives emanating from the Charter of Makkah as well as highlighting noble religious values.
