Statement on the Final Communiqué of the OIC meeting held to discuss the Israeli aggression

The Muslim World League welcomed the outcomes of the extraordinary open-ended emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Executive Committee at the level of Foreign Ministers, held upon the invitation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chair of the Islamic Summit, and Chair of the Executive Committee, and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to discuss the repercussions of the horrific humanitarian disaster unfolding in the occupied Palestinian territory in plain sight of the world.
In a statement by the General Secretariat of the MWL, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, expressed the support of the MWL and its councils, bodies and assemblies, of the Final Communiqué and the condemnation it contained of the continued Israeli aggression causing more tragedies and disasters among civilians and innocent people in the context of the barbaric collective punishment.
Dr. Al-Issa expressed full solidarity with the government of the State of Palestine in supporting its international and legal movement to stop these heinous crimes, with the utmost importance of ensuring the provision of necessary humanitarian supplies to the Palestinian people. He also warned of the dangerous repercussions of this tragedy that shook every living conscience. The international community must take effective action in order to avoid consequences that are difficult to remedy, especially once they become ingrained in the people’s conscience.
