The Secretary General of the Muslim World League meets scholars of the Horn of Africa in Addis Ababa
Dr. Al-Issa emphasizes the importance of religious awareness, which represents the reality of our Islamic religion

His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, met in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa, a group of eminent and high-ranking scholars and muftis of the Horn of Africa.
During the meeting, which comes within the framework of his official visit to the Republic of Ethiopia, his Eminence stressed the importance of adhering to Islamic values and promoting joint Islamic action, referring to the pivotal role assumed by scholars in consolidating the values of moderation in societies, especially promoting coexistence and mutual respect among the components of national diversity.
Afterwards, His Excellency held a public meeting, in the presence of His Eminence the President of the Supreme Islamic Council in Ethiopia, Sheikh Haji Ibrahim, with a number of the graduates of Awolia College , emphasizing the importance of strengthening Islamic work within the framework of the national system. He also stressed the importance of humanitarian work which presents the true image of Islam. With this regard, he said that our noble prophet (peace be upon him) was reported to say: "The best of people is the most beneficial to them”.
Within the framework of the visit, the MWL Secretary General, Sheikh Al-Issa, was briefed on the efforts and programs of a number of local and international humanitarian organizations which provide support and care to large segments of refugees, the displaced and the needy. Sheikh Al-Issa reaffirmed the League's commitment to supporting the great work and humanitarian programs of these organizations.
Dr. Al-Issa also praised workers in the charitable organizations and societies, praying for them to be successful.
