The international symposium on the Charter Of Makkah held its third session in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, under the title: "The Legal and Human Rights Impact of the Charter of Makkah"

Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Mauritania, Mr. Mohamed Ould Ghazouani:
The international symposium on the Charter Of Makkah held its third session in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, under the title: "The Legal and Human Rights Impact of the Charter of Makkah", in the presence of elites of the senior scholars, intellectuals, government officials and representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as guests from Mali, the Republic of Senegal, Tunisia and the Kingdom of Morocco.

The meeting  issued several recommendations, the most prominent of which were: condemning the abuses directed at Islam and Muslims, as well as calling on the countries of the world -especially Western countries- to enact laws that criminalize the desecration of religious sanctities, and differentiate them from the continuous and double standard concept of freedom of expression.

The attendees also applauded the great efforts exerted by the Muslim World League in introducing Islam and its lofty values, defending its merits, and what was manifested in the conferences held by the MWL around the world in the East and West to unite the views of the scholars and intellectuals of the Islamic world.
