The Muslim World League congratulated all Muslims on the announcement of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that the number of pilgrims this year, 1444 AH, will return to pre-pandemic levels and will not have age restrictions.

On behalf of the MWL’s global councils, bodies, assemblies and the Muslim scholars of the Ummah under the umbrella of the MWL, His Excellency the Secretary General of the MWL, Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, praised the good news that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced to all Muslims as sufficient precautions for the service and safety of the guests of Rahman and as an exceptional way for pilgrims to perform their rituals to the fullest in accordance with the Sharia guidance.

Dr. Al-Issa also commended the decision to allow any Hajj mission to deal with any licensed company that meets the requirements needed by the pilgrims of those countries and to reduce the cost of insurance for Umrah performers by 63 percent and the cost of insurance for pilgrims by 73 percent. Dr. Al-Issa also appreciated the decision to allow any visitor to KSA holding a visitor visa to visit any city in the Kingdom and perform Umrah at any time.
