Muslim World League Praises the Great Islamic and International Interaction with the Charter of Makkah

Makkah:

The Muslim World League has appreciated the great Islamic and international interaction with the Charter of Makkah whose conference was held under the aegis of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, May Allah protect him.

His Excellency, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League and President of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, has pointed out that the international presence of the Muslim World League is highly appreciated since the Charter of Makkah has been included within the religious curricula of a number of African countries, which considered it an Islamic modern qualitative achievement that aims to unify the Islamic thought.

The Charter of Makkah constitutes also the reference for the imams’ training in all the African countries that participated in the conference, which brought together for the first time senior scholars, Muftis, and ministers of religious affairs in the African countries under the umbrella of the Muslim World League and auspices of His Excellency the Gambian President who attended the conference.

The Muslim World League appreciated further the adoption of all the states of Southeast Asia of the Charter of Makkah in training their imams during their conference which was held last year in Malaysia under the umbrella of the Muslim World League and the sponsorship of the Malaysian Prime Minister who attended the conference.

On the other hand, the religious leaderships in North and South Americas approved the Charter of Makkah as a reference for training imams there during their conference which was held in Washington under the aegis of the Muslim World League and in the presence of a number of American Parliamentary, government, and non-governmental figures. The Charter of Makkah was welcomed and highly valued by non-Muslim religious figures who described it as a representation of the Muslim enlightened and decisive vision as regards a number of contemporary religious and intellectual issues. The Muslim leadership in the Americas is followed by hundreds of imams and millions of Muslims.

The outcome of the African, Asian and American conferences was the formation of three councils for the African, Southeast Asian, and American scholars, which are brought under the auspices of the Muslim World League which plays a significant and effective role as a religious and intellectual reference for them all.
