During his current visit to the United States of America, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Bin Abdulkarim Alissa met in New York with US Senator Ted Cruz, where a number of topics of mutual concern were discussed.
Senator Ted Cruz valued the international efforts of the Muslim World League in raising awareness to the values of moderation and the deep confrontation of the concepts of violent extremism and terrorism, praising MWL’s programs to promote coexistence and harmony in countries of religious and ethnic diversity.
Dr. Mohammad Alissa also received at his residence in New York Senator Joseph Lieberman, Former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security, where they discussed a number of topics related to confronting the concepts of violent extremism and terrorism, ways to promote the values of moderation and coexistence around the world, and the dissemination of tolerance and dialogue with all civilizations.
After that, Dr. Mohammad Alissa met with Congressman Brad Sherman representative of California's congressional district. They discussed a number of topics of mutual concern.
On the other hand, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League met with Ambassador Mark Wallace the CEO of Counter Extremist Project, where they discussed ways of confronting extremism and violence, countering deviant and extremist ideas and reviewing areas of work and mutual cooperation.
