Dr. Al-Issa Signs a Cooperative Agreement with the Grand Mufti of the Chechen Republic
The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa and the Grand Mufti of the Chechen Republic Sheikh Salah Mezhiev signed a memorandum of cooperation at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Muslim World League in Makkah.
The agreement includes mutual cooperation in spreading the values of moderation, combating religious exaggeration, extremism and Islamophobia, highlighting the stance of Islam on extremist groups and deviant movements. Both sides will organize meetings with academics, thinkers, researchers and the followers of other cultures and civilizations to discuss the major issues of dialogue and cooperate to present the true image of Islam, highlight its universal humane values, support moderation; tolerance; justice; understanding and peace among nations. Both sides will also be working closely on sharing information, expertise and publications. As well as, carrying out joint studies, seminars and dialogue programs.
Under the cooperative agreement scholarships will be awarded to students, there will be projects to promote the Holy Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him), as well as, teaching Arabic to the non-Arabic speaking Muslim minorities.
