Prime Minister Najib Razak of Malaysia: The Muslim World League's testimony to our moderation.

Kuala Lumpur:
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Abdul-Razzaq said that the Muslim World League’s classification of Malaysia as a model of moderate Islam is a validation of the path followed by our country.

During his attendance at the Iftar ceremony with the students of Quran memorization in  the city of Jitra, PM Najib noted that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chose Malaysia as his first destination during his visit to the region and as the headquarters City to the King Salman Center for World Peace,
saying it was proof of Malaysia's commitment to the principles of moderate Islam.

PM Najib emphasized that "the Muslim World League, after examining the state system in Malaysia, confirmed that our country is a model of centrism;" stressing his rejection of allegations that Malaysia is not an Islamic state or is lenient in maintaining a religious identity.

It should be noted that the Rabita had issued an earlier statement in which it expressed its support for the islamic centrist approach espoused by Malaysia, and the promotion of the values of national harmony.

The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Bin Abdulkarim Alissa also praised the efforts exerted by Malaysia to spread moderate thought and to counter militant aberration.
