Malaysia honors MWL in appreciation for its role in disseminating the values of tolerance
H.E. Tun Abdutayyeb Mahmoud, Governor of Sarawak State, Malaysia, has granted "Sarawak Order" to Dr.Saeed Alhazmi, Director of the MWL Office in Kuala Lumpur.
The Governor said that this bestowal of honor comes as an appreciation of the Sarawak State for the role played by the MWL in disseminating the culture of tolerance in the multi-religious and multi-ethnic Malaysian society.
Furthermore, H.E. Tun Mahmoud has applauded the pioneering role played by the MWL in projecting the real image of Islam and highlighting the contribution of Muslims in all fields Likewise, Dr. Alhazmi has expressed his profound thank and appreciation for this honor to the Governor of the biggest Malaysian State, emphasizing that the multi-ethnic and multi-religious Malaysian society is considered a good example for tolerance and coexistence.
Furthermore, Dr. Alhazmi has indicated that the message of MWL and the programs it implements all collectively promote what is common between ethnicities and religions. Dr. Alhazmi added that the directives of H.E. Dr. Muhammad Abdulkareem Aleisa, Secretary General of MWL has emphasized on supporting social peace in Muslim communities, as well as, implementing further programs that strengthen and promote such directives among Muslims everywhere. Dr. Alhazmi concluded his statement by once again thanking H.E. Tun Abdutayyeb Mahmoud, Governor of Sarawak State, for the substantial support that MWL receives from him in particular and from the inhabitants of the State in general; and supplicated Allah Almighty to grant all continued success.
