The Muslim World League Condemns the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Targeting of the Saudi Tanker Wedyan and the Qatari Tanker Al-Rekayyat

The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the Islamic Republic of Iran’s targeting of the Saudi tanker Wedyan while it was transiting the Strait of Hormuz, as well as its targeting of the Qatari tanker Al-Rekayyat.
In a statement issued by its General Secretariat, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, reiterated his condemnation of Iran’s repeated criminal attacks, which violate religious values, international and humanitarian laws and norms, and undermine efforts to restore security and stability in the region.
His Excellency affirmed the MWL’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar in all measures they take to safeguard their security, their vessels, and their national interests. He also called on Iran to immediately cease all actions that threaten regional security, the safety of international navigation, and global energy supplies.
