H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa , Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, met earlier with H.E. Dame Jacinda Ardern, the former Prime Minister of New Zealand.
During the meeting, they discussed several issues related to religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity, as well as ways to strengthen social cohesion in light of such diversity.
H.E. commended Dame Jacinda Ardern's principled national and humanitarian leadership in response to the horrific terrorist attack on Masjid An-Nur in Christchurch.
It is worth noting that Dr. Al-Issa is visiting New Zealand at the official invitation of H.E. Christopher Luxon, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, during which he has met with a number of the country's political, parliamentary, and religious leaders.
