Statement on the Calls for Forced Displacement of Gaza Residents

The Muslim World League rejects and condemns -in the strongest terms- the calls for forced displacement of the Palestinian people from Gaza, and the continued targeting of unarmed civilians there. The MWL also warns of a horrific humanitarian disaster that will be caused by such calls and practices, which are a flagrant and dangerous violation of all humanitarian and international laws and customs.

In a statement of the General Secretariat, the MWL reiterated its call for everyone to take their responsibilities towards protecting civilians, in accordance with International Humanitarian Law. The MWL expressed its support for all efforts aimed at reaching an immediate stop of the military escalation, lifting the siege on Gaza, facilitating the passage of relief and humanitarian aid to civilians, and reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue according to the relevant resolutions
