The Charter, whose historic conference was held under the gracious patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (may Allah protect him) was endorsed in its Sharia content by more than 1,200 muftis and scholars. Its conference was attended by over 4,500 Muslim intellectuals. It was also approved by the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which recommended benefiting from it in religious, educational, and cultural institutions across the Islamic world. In line with the OIC’s recommendation, many imams around the world are currently receiving training on the Charter’s principles and content.
