Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned Israel’s announcement of the appointment of a diplomatic envoy to the so-called “Somaliland.”
In a statement issued by its General Secretariat, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced this violation targeting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia. He affirmed that this action poses a threat to regional and international peace and security, and constitutes a clear breach of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the Constitutive Act of the African Union. His Excellency reiterated the League’s full support for the unity, sovereignty, and legitimate institutions of Somalia, reflecting the will of the Somali people.
