The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned the intrusion into the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by an official of the Israeli occupation authorities and a group of extremist settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.

In a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the League, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, condemned these provocative practices that inflame the sentiments of Muslims around the world. He stressed the urgent need for the international community to fulfill its moral and legal responsibilities by immediately bringing an end to these repeated Israeli violations of the historical and legal status quo in the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as violations of relevant international and humanitarian laws and norms.
