 The Muslim World League Condemns the Escalating Attacks by Settlers Against Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank

The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the ongoing attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, most recently including assaults on the Grand Mosque in the village of Jaljulia and Al-Farooq Mosque north of Ramallah.
In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced the escalating waves of violence perpetrated by settlers against Palestinians, their property, and their holy sites in the occupied West Bank. He stated that such actions constitute a grave violation of the sanctity of places of worship, as well as of all international and humanitarian laws and norms, undermine peace efforts, and threaten security and stability in the region.
His Excellency stressed the urgent necessity for the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities by taking immediate and serious action in response to these attacks. He also commended the contents of the joint statement issued in this regard by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Türkiye, aimed at confronting all Israeli violations in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. He further praised their steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian people, their commitment to protecting Palestinian resources and holy sites, and their unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s legitimate national rights, foremost among them their right to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state in accordance with the two-state solution pathway and the relevant international resolutions.
