Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, received at the State House in the capital, Abuja, H.E. [Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa](https://mohammadalissa.com) , the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of topics related to the MWL’s mission and objectives.

H.E. commended the Muslim World League’s Initiative for Social Peace in West Africa, affirming his full support for the “Abuja Declaration,” including its action plan, implementation programs, and coordinating body for joint cooperation to ensure the implementation of its programs in accordance with periodic assessments, in light of the commitment of West African religious leaders to work together to implement the Declaration.

H.E. Dr. Al-Issa expressed his appreciation for the President’s patronage and support of the conference for the MWL’s initiative in Abuja, which brought together Muslim and Christian religious leaders representing the diverse schools of thought and denominations across West Africa. The conference also witnessed the attendance and participation of supporting partners from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA), the Islamic Fiqh academies of both the OIC and the MWL, prominent evangelical leaders from the United States of America, representatives of the Vatican, and representatives of Protestant churches.
